Dr. Alf Björkund, ( Ph.D., University of Helsinki) brings more than 50 years of experience in geoscientific research and application to mineral exploration and direct experience in a variety of exploration scenarios in Scandinavia, Russia, Brazil, Portugal and Canada.
He is educated as an exploration geochemist and worked for some years as the head of their Geochemisty Department at the Geological Survey of Finland and later as Professor of Geology at Abo Akadem University. He is a part owner and co-founder of SES Finland Ltd.
Dr. Petri Peltonen ( Ph.D., University of Turku / University of Toronto) has over 25 years experience in geoscientific research, exploration and mining. After completing his Ph.D. on metallogeny and exploration methods of magmatic Ni-Cu-PGE sulfide deposits, Petri has worked on variety of commodities and deposit types including volcanic-hosted massive sulfides (VMS), iron ore, Cu-porphyry deposits, technology metals, gold and diamonds. Mostly recently he was engaged as Exploration Manager Europe for the First Quantum Minerals Ltd., being responsible for regional and near-mine exploration activities in Finland, Sweden, Turkey, and Spain.
Petri is an accreted Chartered Professional of Australian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (AusIMM), European Geologist (EurGeol), Qualified Person (QP) and SEG Fellow. He also serves as Adjunct Professor of Economic Geology at University of Helsinki.
Carl Löfberg, (M.Sc., Tampere University of Technology) has a degree in industrial economics and has broad experience in business consulting, project management, company start-ups and financing.
He a founding member of FinnAust Mining Plc (which is now listed on the AIM-exchange in London).
He has been the Managing Director for Magnus Minerals since 2006.
Ageos Geophysics Magnus has used Ageos after airborne geophysical mapping and BOT geochemistry to fine-tune the exact location of diamond drill sites.
Magnus has used MMOY to do Base of Till Geochemistry after target anomalies have been identified. Good crew to work with.
The VTEM (Versatile Time Domain Electromagnetic Surveying) is designed to detect and discriminate between moderate to excellent conductors using a low base frequency, long pulse width, and derived B-field.
Providing both high near surface resolution with as well as the depth of penetration. (We can detect conductors deeper than with the GTK data.)
